Which airport for Altea
Despite the many tourists who visit Altea every year, there are still loads of great local hotspots to discover in this seaside town with white houses and amazing views.
If you’re going on holiday to Altea, I’d recommend flying to Alicante Airport. From there you’ll reach Altea in 50 minutes via the motorway. If you rent a car you can drive straight from the airport onto the A7 motorway toward Valencia. By public transport it’s doable, but you’ll need at least 1.5 hours by bus, tram and then train!
Valencia Airport is also a fine option. It takes about 80 minutes to reach Altea by car.

Altea and Calpe
Calpe lies an 18‑minute drive from Altea. So it’s easy to visit both towns in one day. It’s also a beautiful route along the coast. Calpe is larger than Altea; Altea is a touch more authentic in my view — but also smaller. Both towns have their charm and there’s something for everyone!
