Valencia was hit hard by DANA last week. Alicante Like a Local works across the entire Costa Blanca. Many people are worried whether their holiday will go ahead and whether, for example, the AP7 is open to travel back. Therefore on this page: a summary of the most important updates, advice and useful websites.

App with essentials

https://ayudaterreta.com/ The most important tool right now is this website. The app is intended to **locate exactly where help is needed**. On the map you’ll find markers with different colors. **Red** means help needed (with a name and phone number of the contact person). **Orange** means volunteers are on their way. **Green** means the point has been completed. Help can be medical care, materials, etc. The recommendation is not to travel to Valencia for now and leave aid to professional responders. Of course — and fortunately — thousands of Spanish residents have not listened and have traveled to Valencia to help. There is currently a need for cleaning supplies, food and water. In every town on the Costa Blanca there’s a collection point where materials are gathered and taken to Valencia. In Alicante this is **Centro de Tecnificación — Pabellón Pedro Ferrándiz**.
