5 x Brunch in Alicante

Alicante is a perfect city for brunch. After all, there are 360 days of sunshine a year. So chances are you’ll enjoy your coffee and croissant outdoors on a sunny terrace. This lovely way of breakfasting and lunching in Alicante hasn’t been around that long. Of course I tried all the coffee spots again and I’m sharing the 5 nicest places to brunch in Alicante on the Costa Blanca.

1. Mon Sucrée
In this hidden gem you can brunch in the Spanish patio. The coffee is delicious, the sandwiches are luxurious, and if you’re not full after that you can choose from one of the tasty cakes or homemade cookies. Walk inside and take a seat at the cozy tables in the back of the restaurant.
What to order? – Café con leche — coffee with milk (oat milk is “leche de avena”) – Banana crêpe with peanut butter – Cake
* About €8.50

2. Luceros Coffee
This coffee bar is a great place to start your day. Go up the stairs and you’ll find a room with sofas where you can relax and enjoy your breakfast. Brunching here is definitely an option!
What to order? – Tostada Benedict with salmon, avocado – Café con leche
* About €6.50
3. Sip and Wonder
A cozy coffeehouse just the way you like it: chairs, tables, sofas, music, good coffee, and delicious sandwiches. Brunch here costs €18 and you won’t need to eat again for the rest of the day. This popular brunch spot is close to the market, so it’s fun to visit the market first and then come here for brunch.
The language school “Academia Ya Hablas” organizes a weekly language exchange here. Super fun if you want to practice a new language while enjoying a cold beer — which they have here too. Just like coffee from D’origen Coffee Roasters , roasted on the Costa Blanca. In my opinion the best coffee you can drink here.
By the way, never order a cappuccino. Why? You’ll read it in my E‑book full of tips you should keep in mind when you travel to Alicante!

4. Baker & Co
This brunch spot was founded by an acquaintance of mine, Silvia — a top entrepreneur and mother of two. And her place is booming! She has traveled to Amsterdam often, and you can taste a bit of that vibe here. People of all nationalities come by, which is great if you like meeting people. This coffee place is in Playa San Juan, a few kilometers outside Alicante center.
* What to order?
- Baker Brunch €15.50 — ideal to share between two people.
- Petit déjeuner €7.50 — perfect if you’re alone and want a full brunch: different kinds of breads, jam, coffee, and something sweet on the side.

Cake with caramel sauce — you really want to try this!
5. Hospes Amérigo Brunch
Last but definitely not least: brunch at Hospes Amérigo. I hope I’m not giving away too much, because this one’s a true winner. Brunch exactly how you want brunch to be. Reservations are required. And you certainly can’t walk in on your flip‑flops at this 5‑star hotel. There’s live jazz and the service is excellent. You can simply help yourself to whatever you fancy: hot dishes, cold dishes, and then dessert. The price is € 29 per adult and € 15 per child . Brunch is served every Sunday. Reserve here.
